What is the meaning of the word "home"? In return, what is the meaning of "homelessness"?

California is such an interesting place to be. It's a place where people come to fulfill their dreams, and therefore, you will find many dreams crushed on its boulevards. It's a place where the competition over a dream home leaves many people homeless each year more than the last. But what does home mean, really?

Beyond the Colonial Revival, the California Bungalow, or the Contemporary Modern for those who make the big bucks, it's a land that hardly "belongs" to maybe no one.

We get tangled in ideas like mortgage rates, APR, and property taxes that one tends to forget ideas about life, about people in need. So I ask again, what is home? As an architect living on the edge of practice and abstract, living on the edge of nationalities and social classes, I really don't know.
