China Cabinet | 2016
The china cabinet (buffet) is a very classical and a very controversial piece in the Egyptian home. While the majority of the older generation prefer it to keep and display their china silverware, a lot of the youth (the newlyweds) consider it a useless piece of furniture. Re-inventing the buffet using computational geometry for the facade, altering the opening mechanism and mixing it with the minimalistic Scandinavian designs seemed one way to revive that piece and reintroduce it to the market. This piece is the first product in the Trinity Family and the inspiration for the entire collection.
MILES was a best selling piece, and was shortlisted for the YOUNG DESIGNERS AWARD organized by the (EFEC) and displayed during FURNEX Expo in Cairo, Feb 2017.
